Policy statement

Check every morning to ensure toilets are clean and clear form spills.

Ensure there are toilet paper, soap and paper towels to aid the children in their toileting requirements.

Two members of staff accompany the children when going to the toilet, One to support the child/children and one to ensure safety.

We support the children with toileting requirements, providing stools for them to stand on.

We support their hygiene, encouraging them to try and flush the toilets and to use soap and running water to wash their hands. Paper towel are provided for hand drying.

Children have the opportunity to go to the toilet throughout the course of the session. We shake a tambourine to ask the children (as a reminder) if they need to go to the toilet, especially those who get engrossed in play and forget.
