Policies at Warmley Community Centre Pre-School

Admissions

It is our intention to make our pre-school genuinely accessible to children and families from ALL sections of the local community. More information on our admissions policy.

Behaviour Management

We aim to work towards a situation in which children can develop self-discipline, self esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement. Smacking or Shaking will be never threatened or used. More information on our behaviour management policy.

Child Protection

We intend to create an environment in which children are safe from abuse. Any suspicion of abuse is promptly responded to. More information on our child protection policy.

Complaints

If you are worried about your child or the pre-school, please talk things over with the leader or chairperson. Should you still not be happy then you can contact Early Years complaint helpline: 0845 601 4772.More information on our complaints policy.

Confidentiality

To ensure that all those using and working in the pre-school can do so with confidence, we will respect all information of a confidential nature. More information on our confidentiality policy.

Diet

Snacks that provided will be nutritious. Children's Medical, Religious or Multicultural diet will be included. More information on our diet policy.

Equipment and Toys

The wide range of toys and equipment are regularly updated to provide the children with an enjoyable and educational opportunity to develop new skills. More information on our selecting equipment & toys policy.

Equal Opportunities

Grievance Policy

Warmley Pre-School is committed to an open and honest method of working. It is hoped that any issues arising will be swiftly resolved following an informed, but full, frank and fair discussion.More information on our grievance policy.

Inclusion Policy

Our pre-school aims to provide welcoming and appropriate learning opportunities to include all children and their families. Special Needs

The numbers of adults present in the pre-school enables us to provide attention for each child enabling them to progress at his/her own rate. If you would like to discuss the ability to meet your own child's special needs, please talk to the pre-school leader. More information on our special needs policy.

Management / Administration and Decision Making

An elected committee made up from parents of children attending the setting run the pre-school.

Fees

coinsFees are payable monthly/weekly/half-termly/termly in advance. Fees continue to be payable if a child is absent for any reason (as the groups running cost remain the same). In cases of prolonged absence, through illness, parents should consult the management committee.

An insurance fee is payable prior to your child joining the pre-school. All fees are subject to change without notice.

Starting Pre-School - The First Days

Some children take longer than others to settle and parents should not feel worried if their child takes a little while to settle. More information on our settling in policy.

What to Wear

It is best to send your children dressed in clothes which are easily washable and not too new. We have on sale our logo printed T-shirts and Sweatshirts.

Photography

It is our policy that no photographs may be taken from any activity at the pre-school, unless written consent is obtained from every child's parent or carer.
